This policy explains how Math Riddles — IQ Test Quiz (Math Riddles) handles information when you play on iPhone, iPad or Android, visit these Math Riddles pages, or contact Gude Labs.
Game saves are mainly stored on your device. Advertising, analytics, game services and purchases can also process information through other services. The sections below explain those differences and the choices available to you.
At a glance
- Local progress and coins
- Core play needs no separate Gude Labs account. Local saves are separate from analytics, game-service and store records.
- Ads and analytics
- Both platforms use Google advertising and analytics services. The iOS version also integrates Pangle advertising.
- Controls have different purposes
- Advertising choices, system tracking permission and analytics are separate. You can contact us about your privacy rights.
Who we are and what this policy covers
Math Riddles is operated by Shenzhen Gude Aipu Technology Co., Ltd (深圳市谷得艾普科技有限公司), under the Gude Labs brand, in Shenzhen, China. We are responsible for the personal information we handle in providing the app. Our privacy contact is zach@gudelabs.com.
This policy applies from the effective date above. Features and information processing can differ by platform, app version, region and device settings. References to a platform-specific feature apply where that feature is available; this policy does not describe our other apps.
Progress, coins and information on your device
You can play the core puzzles without creating a separate Gude Labs account. The app stores progress, reached levels, game scores, coin balance and preferences in local app storage to continue your game. On iOS, local wallet records also include transaction and reward identifiers used to credit coins and avoid duplicate credits.
We do not provide a Gude Labs cloud-save service for a complete copy of your Math Riddles save. Game Center or Play Games scores, analytics events and store transactions are handled separately. Device backups may include app data according to your Apple or Android settings; removing the app does not necessarily delete those backups.
Information processed by connected features
Depending on your platform, the feature used and available privacy settings, the app and its service providers may process:
- Device and connection information
- IP address, approximate location inferred from IP, device model, operating system, language, app version, app-instance identifiers and permitted advertising or app-scoped identifiers. Advertising SDKs may also process diagnostics and performance information. Approximate location inferred from IP is different from access to precise device location.
- Usage, gameplay and advertising events
- App launches, sessions, screen views and interactions. On iOS, analytics events also include level starts and completions, wrong-answer events, hint use and coin balances, ad placements and interactions, reward events and advertising errors. These help us understand use, improve reliability and measure advertising.
- iOS purchases
- Product and transaction identifiers, verification results and coin-credit records support consumable coin purchases. Purchase-flow events, including product identifiers and purchase status, may also be processed through Firebase Analytics. Apple handles payment information; Math Riddles does not receive your full payment-card number or Apple Account password.
- Platform game information
- Player identifiers or profile information, scores, reached-level results and achievements may be processed through Apple Game Center or Google Play Games when you are signed in. Visibility to other players depends on the service and its settings.
- Advertising privacy choices
- Consent status, information relevant to determining the applicable privacy message, and choices you make through the advertising consent service help present and remember the relevant options.
- Support correspondence
- Your email address, message and any device details, order references, screenshots or attachments you choose to send us. Please do not send passwords, full payment-card details or unrelated sensitive information.
Advertising, analytics and third-party providers
Math Riddles uses Google Analytics for Firebase for app analytics and Google Mobile Ads / AdMob for advertising on both platforms. Both use Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) for advertising privacy messages. The iOS version also integrates Pangle through AdMob mediation. Apple Game Center and Google Play Games provide the corresponding platform game features.
These services can receive information directly from your device. Advertising services use device and connection information, permitted identifiers and ad interactions for ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention and personalization where permitted. Pangle may receive device and app details, IP address, permitted identifiers and ad interaction data when its advertising service operates. The applicable ad providers and processing depend on the request, region and configuration.
Firebase Analytics processes app-instance and event information to help us understand gameplay and app use. Advertising privacy choices do not automatically turn off all analytics. Providers may also process information for their own disclosed purposes under their applicable terms and policies.
We do not sell your support correspondence or local save files. Advertising-related disclosures may be treated as sharing or targeted advertising under some privacy laws. The controls and rights described below apply where available or required. Pangle’s linked directory identifies the relevant end-user policy and controller for your region.
Purposes and grounds for processing
Information is used to provide puzzles and preferences, maintain coin balances, verify and deliver iOS purchases, operate scores and achievements, deliver and measure advertisements, understand app use, respond to support requests, prevent fraud, improve security and reliability, and meet legal obligations.
Where a legal basis is required, necessary service and purchase processing supports the service you request; required records may be processed to meet legal obligations; and proportionate support, security and improvement activities may rely on legitimate interests where permitted. Processing that requires consent under applicable law or platform rules requires the relevant consent. This policy is a notice and does not itself grant consent to tracking, personalized advertising or other processing that needs a separate choice.
Advertising, tracking and notification choices
On both platforms, UMP determines whether an advertising privacy form or privacy-options entry is required. When an advertising privacy option is shown in the app, you can reopen it to review or change the choices offered. Its availability depends on the applicable requirements and consent service.
On iOS, you can manage tracking permission in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. On Android, use the advertising and privacy controls available in your device settings; names and options vary by system version. Restricting an advertising identifier or declining tracking does not stop every advertisement, diagnostic event or analytics event. Core puzzle play does not require permission for cross-app tracking.
The advertising privacy form and Apple’s tracking permission address different activities. Neither is a general switch for all Firebase Analytics processing, and Math Riddles does not provide a separate in-app switch that disables all analytics. You can contact us to exercise applicable rights concerning information we handle.
The iOS version may request permission to schedule local reminders. You can refuse or revoke notification permission through the device’s notification settings without losing access to core puzzles. Notification permission is separate from advertising and tracking choices.
Game Center and Google Play Games
The iOS app can authenticate with Game Center when it starts. The Android app can use an existing Play Games sign-in and may request sign-in when you open features such as leaderboards or achievements. While signed in, Math Riddles can submit scores, reached-level results and achievements to the corresponding service.
Your player profile, nickname, scores and achievements may be visible through that service’s leaderboards or activity features according to its rules and settings. A score, including a game score labeled IQ, is a gameplay result; it is not a complete copy of your local save.
Manage sign-in, profile visibility and available data controls through Game Center or Google Play Games. Google also provides a way to delete Play Games data. Platform controls do not necessarily remove local app data, analytics records, advertising records or store transactions.
Website requests, support and sharing
These pages are hosted by Vercel. Website requests involve technical information such as IP address, request time, page path and browser or system information for page delivery, security and troubleshooting. The iOS app may also make a website request to check connectivity. Vercel handles relevant information under its service configuration and privacy notice.
When you contact zach@gudelabs.com, we and our email service providers handle the information you send to respond and follow up. When you choose to share a puzzle through your device’s share sheet, the selected content is provided to the destination you choose. The receiving app, website or person then handles it under their own practices.
Links to app stores, advertisements and provider websites take you to services with their own terms and privacy policies. Please review those policies when using the corresponding services.
Storage, retention and deletion
Local progress, coins and preferences generally remain until you clear app data, remove the app or replace its data through a device restore. Operating-system behavior and backups can preserve or restore some information. Check device backups separately; clearing local data can also remove an unspent local coin balance.
We retain support correspondence and other information under our control only as long as needed for the stated purposes, including resolving requests and meeting applicable transaction, security or legal requirements. We delete or anonymize it when no longer needed. The relevant period depends on the information and purpose; there is no single retention period for all records.
Advertising, analytics, platform game services and store transactions have separate retention settings and provider policies. Uninstalling Math Riddles does not automatically erase information already sent to those services. Contact us about data processed on our behalf; for data independently controlled by a platform or provider, its own controls may also be needed. We may need additional information to locate a record and cannot identify every provider record from an email address alone.
Your rights and how to make a request
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, a copy or portability of your personal information, restrict or object to certain processing, withdraw consent, opt out of applicable targeted advertising or sharing, and complain to a competent data-protection authority. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing.
Email zach@gudelabs.com with “Math Riddles privacy” in the subject and describe your platform, app version and the information or choice concerned. We may request information reasonably needed to verify and handle your request. We will respond within the period required by applicable law and explain any lawful limitation. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
There is no separate Gude Labs account for Math Riddles to delete. Use device controls for local app data and contact us about information you sent us or that we control. Some records may need to be retained by law, or may not be identifiable without further information; we will explain this where relevant.
Security, disclosures and international processing
We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the nature and sensitivity of the information we handle to reduce the risk of unauthorized access, disclosure or loss. No storage or transmission method is completely secure. Protect your device and platform accounts and avoid sending sensitive credentials in support messages.
Our operator is based in Shenzhen, China. Apple, Google, Pangle, hosting and email providers may process information in other countries where they or their providers operate. Applicable contractual or other lawful safeguards are used where required. Their policies explain relevant international processing; you can contact us about safeguards for information under our control.
Information may also be disclosed where legally required, to address fraud or security threats, or to protect lawful rights, subject to applicable limits. If a business transfer affects information we control, required notice and safeguards will apply; it does not authorize an undisclosed new use.
Children and guardians
Math Riddles includes advertising and, on iOS, optional coin purchases. Parents and guardians should review the app, its privacy choices, platform account settings and purchase controls before a child uses it. A store content rating does not by itself provide consent to personal-information processing or purchases.
Where applicable law requires guardian involvement or consent for a child’s use or information processing, the relevant involvement or consent is required. If you believe a child’s information has been collected or retained improperly, contact zach@gudelabs.com. We will investigate and take the steps required by law, including stopping improper processing and deleting information under our control where appropriate. Please avoid sending unnecessary information about a child.
Policy updates
We will update this page and its effective date when practices materially change, and provide additional notice or obtain consent where required before new processing begins. Continued use does not replace consent where consent is required.
The English and Simplified Chinese versions describe the same policy. Contact us if wording is unclear or inconsistent. No translation limits rights provided by applicable law.
